slip on shoes

I have two outfit ideas and both of them come together only because of slip on sneaks.

OUTFIT ONE
~ Disclaimer : I'm a college student, I have to walk a mile to my classrooms with a heavy bag and uneven sidewalks ~
Leather mini skirt
Muji or Uniqlo black turtleneck
Black leather trainers without a back (meaning this)
And if it's cold then add this coat from Zara

OUTFIT TWO
~ Disclaimer : this is not a real outfit. I can't think of a single situation in which I could actually walk down the street in this outfit unless I was famous or Rihanna ~
This adidas suit (!!!!!) (HOW TO FIND IT)
Black leather slip on trainers (MUST FIND)
Coat from Zara (MUST RAISE FUNDS)

And then loads of other things ugh that I want and can't afford. Also yesterday I started panicking about finding a job after college which is funny because I've still got a year and 2 weeks. But I'm going to start looking as soon as I get back from London. If there's one thing I am most certain about myself is that when I stress about something I will get it done because the stress levels are too high for me to sustain it so the only way to get rid of the stress is get to the end goal. So yeah, hopefully will be set, especially as I don't go out a whole lot in LA ($$$$) so while my peers are being stupid doing greek life stuff I will be sorting out my (v cool hopefully) future.

LOW CLASSIC SS14

Low Classic starts conquering Europe with minimal approach and clean lines. This unique korean clothing brand was established couple of years ago in Seoul by Lee Myeong Sin, Hwang Hyun Ji and Park Jin Sun. Tailored jackets and other classical pieces in moderate colours are juxtaposed with very modern, youthful silhouettes, mesh fabrics and quirky pleats.

This september LOW CLASSIC held their newest collection independently in Choong-Ang high school located in Gyedong, Seoul. Applause for the beautiful photo coverage of this event to Jin Yong Kim.

Can you tell that I am obsessed? These are all my goals. I don't know if I'm getting to them right now but where is the nearest Kinkos so I can print these out in quality and put them all up in my room.

First project when I get back home. This will be on my ceiling so it is the first and last thing I see so I can breathe it in and become everything in these photos. Is that too far? Because it's not.

And then these are similar photos I found on tumblrs, which I think are the same but idk, they have the same style and OH MY GOD I AM SO IN LOVE. I THINK I'M GOING TO BE TOO HAPPY EVERY TIME I LOOK AT THESE.

SHOELUST :: IF I HAD THE $$$

Recently I bought $200 worth of Elizabeth & James clothing at a sample sale: this red fur coat for $150 and this black fuzzy sweater for $50. All in all it was an absolute s t e a l. The only problem is that I had to borrow money from my sister and I'm now in $130 debt. I also feel like I need to explain the fur purchase because I made a rule for myself never to buy "new" fur, only vintage fur that was made a long time ago. But we asked what they were going to do with the clothes if they didn't sell them, and they said put them in storage, so there was no way in hell I was going to let the poor bunnies die simply to be put in a box.

But my lack of funds has not stopped me from looking at shoes, so here are the ones I'd buy if I had money & a car (these are definitely not optimal for a college girl who either bikes or walks everywhere).

I just went to my cousin's house during my lunch break and she had a Free People catalogue, so all these shoes are from there. So here goes:

These are nice and simple and those straps are extremely trendy right now. But I don't know if "trend" is the right word, or if I'm only now aware of them. Sort of like when I first "discovered" skinny jeans and high waisted skirts and I thought I was totally awesome for that. But then all the popular girls started wearing skinny jeans and high waisted skirts and I was all sad until I realized that they really weren't trends, they were real-live actual things.

These are Jeffrey Campbells, which I'm usually not the biggest fan of on account of Litas, but I have to admit that they hit the nail on the head sometimes. Some of their shoes are just so well made - the less trendy ones. Except these are  straight rip-off of these beautiful Isabel Marant Carol sandals, and my very well-developed ethical side is saying no, but my more practical side is saying whatever, I'm a student and my very realistic side is shaking my head sadly because I will probably never be able to get ahold of these sandals - real or fake.

3. Ryan Sandal $60
Columbine has the real deal - and they're snakeskin or some sort of reptile so of course I'm in instant love. Also Columbine is such a babe it's unreal.

Very similar to the first pair of shoes in this list and I'm totally blanking on who's being ripped off right now but just take a look at how killer that pointy toe area is!! Like a total weapon on your feet.

And of course these magnificent Ann D fake shoes that I first saw via J. Aldridge. These are probably the first pair I'd buy out of this whole set because the heel is the most manageable and they honestly seem like the most wearable. Like you could put them w/everything - especially black jeans and an easy t-shirt and that's all you need. I'm going to keep my eyes on these and wait for sale or for $$$ or both. I like the look of the white but I feel like they would be all around too clunky looking in white. Oh well, I have a very long time to decide.

PS - I'm doing a lot of Lynda stuff for Photoshop CS6 and I'm planning on having some awesome photos once I finish that. I'm also going to try and do more "outfity" type posts once I figure that out so yup. Also, if I become a real pro, imagine how insane my HK photos will be?!!!

CAN TOMMY TON STOP WITH THESE GIFS?

I'm only kidding. He can keep it up.

Notice how it's in my "want" section tehe.

I'll do a real post soon, I promise.

ECRU

These images are all from Zara People. Go to their site and you'll see it - it's just lots of photos of people wearing their clothes. I like it because it's nice seeing cool photos of people wearing affordable clothes instead of everything designer and everything way out of my meager, student budget.

My favorite colors are: navy, black, white, grey and camel. But maybe for summer I should make a transition from navy to ecru? Because literally everything blue from Zara is called "ecru" and I've never heard of that but it definitely sounds cooler. But also pretentious, like, "Yes, hello, my name is Isabelle and I love the color ecru. So cute".

I'll just stick to blue.

WANT | LONG SLEEVES ARE MORE REA$ONABLE

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7

Let me explain: the prices of these long sleeves are still very high, but in my head it makes more sense to spend a lot of money on a long sleeve/sweater than on a t-shirt because sometimes the cuddling desire for a long sleeve is greater than the cuddling desire for a t-shirt. I'm not dissing the t-shirt though! I'm secretly dissing the lack of funds in my wallet that don't allow me to have not one of the above.

Numbers 1, 3 and 7 are my favorite, in case you were wondering.

WANT | TEES: TO SPEND OR NOT TO SPEND

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7

These shirts are all a bit over $100 but still under $200. I have so many bad t-shirts - things that don't fit me well but are so soft and comfy but still make me look like a little girl. I like these enough that maybe, just maybe, I might treat myself at the end of the summer. Numbers 2, 3 and 6 are my favorites I think. It's honestly so much better to have a few well-made shirts instead of my awfully abundant collection.

WANT | DENIM

I saw the first photo on the Sartorialist a while ago and I can't get that shirtdress out of my head. I wonder if that's actually a dress or if she just found herself a very oversized denim shirt...I've been checking the Goodwill by school to see if I could get lucky and find one that's oversized and worn in, but so far, nothing. My only alternative right now is this shirt from StyleNanda. If I don't find one soon, I may just do it. The only thing holding me back is the length. But honestly, how easy and simple is this? It's almost cheating.
